Sheddingdean Science/DT
At Sheddingdean, we aim to inspire curiosity in all children through engaging, practical lessons covering the disciplines of physics, chemistry and biology. Lessons are structured to provide children with vital opportunities to explore the world around them and share their explanations of the phenomenon that they identify. Through practical investigations and discussion, children are helped to develop their scientific vocabulary and skills to clearly articulate scientific concepts.
In addition, a wide range of external professionals and experiences are used to enable children to flourish. Moreover, we endeavour to ensure that links are also made with English and Maths where possible so that the children gain a deeper understanding of the subjects.
